Volvo South Africa has announced official pricing on their all-electric single-motor XC40, the P6 Recharge, as the most affordable all-electric luxury vehicle on our local market.
One cannot deny that electric cars have been the talk of a lot of South Africans, mostly as the cost of fuel in our country has skyrocketed. For the electric loving individual, the XC40 P6 Recharge might be considerable the best one on offer for the price tag it associated with the car.
Outside from the “closed” grill, it looks exactly like its petrol sibling and has subtle details that make it stand out from being “unusual”. The car itself carries Volvo’s flagship that it has become known for through generations, including the car’s impeccable ride quality. With the addition of a beautiful looking car, one can also expect a panoramic sunroof and heated seats/steering as additional extras as the boxes are ticked on most of the features like wireless smartphone charging, parking sensors (front and rear), a reversing camera and an Android-powered touchscreen infotainment system, complete with built-in Google apps and services as standards.
The 11KW motor has a great range to it aswell, with an acclaimed 423KM* on a single battery charge and noting that the motor packs a significant punch should one need to put their foot down (please note that this isn’t a challenge to go racing on public roads, drive carefully and make sure to adhere to legal speed limits). The electric motor puts off 170KW and 330Nm of torque that enables the car to go from 0-100km/h in just 7.4 seconds; so it doesn’t only look good, but it drives well too.
Consumers will be able to mark their name on the register as order books officially open on Tuesday 26th July 2022 exclusively available through the myvolvo.co.za website and pricing starts at R1 075 000 for the limited number of units that will be available (P.S priority will be given to those on the waiting on the list already). The cars also come with Volvo’s signature of safety features as well as the Pilot Assist support system as part of the package. The car also comes standard with a 5 Year/ 100 000KM Maintenance and Warranty plan for ease of your driving.
